A drunk driver with a cache of drugs has been indicted on an assortment of charges after she was pulled over for trying to cover up her license plate. The woman, Karen Jean Dodd, 42, has been indicted on charges of driving while in possession of meth, manufacture of meth, possession of drugs in a school zone, improper display of tags and DUI.McMinnville police officer Austin Wortman responded to a call of a person driving under the influence in the Walmart parking lot. He found the Chevy S-10 in question a few minutes later on Greenland Drive, the tag obscured and not illuminated as required by law.“She had slowed, slurred speech,” Wortman said of his conversation with the driver, noting she failed a field sobriety test. The officer said the woman revealed why she did so poorly on the sobriety test. “She stated she had consumed hydrocodone and Xanax earlier.”A search of her vehicle after her arrest netted more than the drugs she admitted taking.“Found in her purse was 15 grams of methamphetamine and 11 blue pills believed to be Xanax,” Wortman said, noting he also found pills believed to be Lyrica – a drug used to treat things like fibromyalgia and prevent seizures.
