A new daycare is being planned for West Elementary that will serve school system employees.“Child care is very expensive,” said West principal Michelle Lewis in telling the Warren County Board of Education about the planned daycare at the school. “By offering this, it would be a benefit to teachers and other school system employees.”The daycare has nine students enrolled as the school completes the finishing touches on the rooms, some of which will be in the temporary classrooms located next to the main school. The daycare will be led by a teacher’s assistant who has a teaching degree.“This will be a great thing for the staff,” Lewis noted, adding Eastside School already has such a program.
