The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (CHRA) will hold a commodities distribution for Warren County on Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at Northside Baptist Church. Sign-ups will be available at the distribution site.
OCTOBER 5
The Viola Wildcats school reunion is set for Oct. 5 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Viola Community Center. All past students, teachers, family and community members are invited to celebrate the school’s history with fellowship and reminiscing. Attendees are encouraged to wear green and white and bring a dessert, finger food and bingo prizes. There will be a basketball game for those who want to play. Hard Times USA is holding its Heritage Day event on Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and includes music, a car show, wagon rides, games, delicious food and more. A cruise-in car show benefit for the family of the late Vickie Whittley is set for Oct. 12 from noon to 5:30 p.m. at Westwood Church of Christ’s parking lot. Refreshments during the event include hotdogs, chips and drinks. Visitors are asked not to do burnouts or donuts to protect the parking lot.
OCTOBER 15
The next Oster get-together will be on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Medley’s. The get-together will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch on your own will follow at 11 a.m.
Warren County Meals on Wheels is set to hold its inaugural Spinning our Wheels for Meals event on Oct. 15 with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and BBQ dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Musical entertainment and a live auction will take place during the event. The fundraiser will take place at the Bridgestone Learning Center Outdoor Pavilion located at 725 Bridgestone Dr. in Morrison. All money raised goes directly to supporting Meals on Wheels.
