MONDAY, OCT. 23

The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of McMinnville Housing Authority will be held at the Rebel Hill Community Room. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.
TUESDAY, OCT. 24

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. at Caney Fork Electric Auditorium at 920 Smithville Highway.

Robert Jefferies will speak at noon at Central Church of Christ’s annual luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a friend for fellowship meal. Jefferies will speak during the gospel meeting at the church Oct. 22-25 at 7 p.m. nightly.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 25

Locust Street Church of God will hold a fall fun festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with jump houses, food, candy and fun. Everyone is invited.


THURSDAY, OCT. 26

Hickory Creek will have family reading night “Under the Sea” from 5:15 to 7 p.m. There will be crafts, activities and drawings at 6:45 p.m. Each students receives a free book.

FRIDAY, OCT. 27

Midway CIC will hold its community Halloween party with chili and hotdogs provided. Bring dessert and drink and wear a costume for the contest.

SATURDAY, OCT. 28

The Blue Springs School reunion will be held at Blue Springs Community Center at 11 a.m. Bring finger food for noon lunch. Anyone who attended or taught at the school is invited. For more information, call James at 668-1239.

McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center will hold a Halloween costume dance at 6 p.m. Bring finger food to share. The band 231 South will be performing. Tickets are $6 at the door. Cash prizes for best male, best female and best couple.

Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ at 403 Pace Street will hold its 50th anniversary homecoming and family fun day from 1 to 4 p.m. Homecoming service will be at 11 a.m. with William McCormack on Oct. 29.

Take a test drive at Kidd Ford from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 28 and earn $20 for Boyd Christian School in the Drive One 4UR School promotion.

Westwood Church of Christ at 511 Morrison Street is inviting everyone to Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. Worship in the auditorium followed by  goodies and games. Bring a costume and join trick-or-treating in the parking lot. Soups and sandwiches available after the treats.

There will be a Harvest Trick or Treat on Halloween, Oct. 31, at Christ United Methodist Church, 200 Chapel Drive, one block behind Gondola. Food, drinks, candy and fun. Books for all ages. Rain or shine.

A country ham breakfast will be held at Shady Grove CIC at 5261 Shady Grove Road in Morrison from 7 to 10 a.m., Nov. 4. Adults $6 and children 6 and under $3. Proceeds go to upkeep of center.

The Jeff McEver Memorial “Party Like it’s 1.999K fun run and rocking chair reminisce” will be held Nov. 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Short Mountain Distillery at 8280 Short Mountain Road in Cannon County. Chris Golden formerly of the Oak Ridge Boys, with No. 1 song “A Different Light” and Crossover Artist of the Year for 2017 will be at Cumberland Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 229 Rocky River Road at 6 p.m., Nov. 11. The event is free but a free will offering will be taken.
