Dayspring Community Church, 4295 Smithville Highway is having VBS July 23-26 from 6 to 9 p.m. The theme is Son Treasure Island with crafts, snacks games, pony rides and more.
SATURDAY, JULY 28
Saint Thomas Health is holding a free medical mission at Warren County High School. Medical personnel will be accepting patients from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. while offering medical, dental and vision care along with select screenings and lab tests free of charge. There will be a yard sale Aug. 2-3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church youth fundraiser, 317 Liberty Lane, will have kid and adult clothing (all washed and ironed), furniture, household items, wrapping paper and more.
Lucky CIC will hold a community yard sale Aug. 11 from daylight to dark. Refreshments and concessions will be available. Anyone interested in a spot needs to RSVP by Aug. 1. Please contact Russell Pedigo at 931-273-1394.
The 82nd Annual Shady Grove Picnic will be held Saturday, Aug. 11 at the picnic grounds, 4976 Shady Grove Road. There will be a petting zoo along with games, homemade ice cream, live music and an auction. Festivities start at 10 a.m. and the auction begins at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited and proceeds go for upkeep of the cemetery. For more information, call 723-8717.
Applications for the Baby Show at the Warren County A&L Fair for babies from 6 months to 48 months are now available at Southern Standard, JC Penney, Ashley's Attic, and Kathy's of McMinnville. Registration is $30 and entries must be postmarked by Aug. 30.
