Committee grants permission for 'Chalk Your Downtown'

A message of hope will be chalked on downtown sidewalks during the months of April and October by Families in Crisis. The organization hopes to raise awareness about sexual assault and domestic violence. Families in Crisis is taking its message to the streets, or more precisely, the sidewalks. During the months of April and October, the organization will be leaving messages of awareness, hope and prevention on downtown sidewalks with chalk. Those months are Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, respectively.
