Commissioners look at repaving bridge
WEB-BRIDGE
Consideration is being made to resurfacing this bridge on Bluff Springs Road. County commissioners received complaints from motorists about its condition in April. TDOT has determined the bridge does not need to be replaced.
The bridge on Bluff Springs Road will not be replaced at this time, but it could be resurfaced.According to Road Superintendent Levie Glenn, the state’s focus is on replacing the worst bridge in the county and that is on Shelbyville Road.“I do have the engineer looking at this bridge for deck repair,” said Glenn. The county’s 99 bridges are inspected by TDOT every year. Repairs and replacements are completed based on need, with bridges in the worst condition moved atop the list.
