Comfort charged with smuggling drugs into jail inside body cavity

A woman faces smuggling charges after she was caught trying to sneak pills into Warren County Jail, the stash hidden inside her body.The woman, Misty Carol Comfort, 39, is charged with introduction of contraband into a penal institution and violation of probation. She will face hearing Oct. 4. The count is a Class C Felony meaning she could be looking at three to six years in prison if she is convicted on the smuggling charge.Comfort incurred the new charge during a body search which was held prior to her being taken into custody on a separate matter earlier in the day.
