High school students eager to open their next door are invited to attend College Night this coming Monday, Oct. 23.The event will be held at WCHS in the gym from 5 to 7 p.m.It will feature around 40 representatives from area colleges, technical schools and branches of the military. Financial aid representatives will also be on hand.“We’re inviting all the classes to attend this year, grades 9-12, because it’s never too early to start thinking about college,” said WCHS scholarship coordinator Debbie Jennings.Representatives will be on hand from a number of popular institutions of higher learning, including MTSU, Tennessee Tech, UT and Motlow College.Students who go through the Tennessee Promise program can get their tuition free for two years at community colleges and technical schools.For more information about financial aid, or to learn more about a prospective school, come to College Night.
