City to consider who to appoint as administrator
Bill Brock

McMinnville officials have some unfinished business to consider – filling the open city administrator position.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen is scheduled to discuss who will be offered the position vacated by retiring city administrator Bill Brock. “Consider filling city administrator position” is listed under unfinished business for the city’s regular meeting April 23.

Personal interviews were extended to Community Development Department director Nolan Ming, Wisconsin resident Brian Wilson, and Canada resident Ken Kelly. It has been two weeks since the final interviews April 5. Since that time, no public discussion has been held on which individual to extend an offer of employment to and begin contract negotiations with.

Brock, who announced his retirement effective Feb. 1, agreed to a part-time role to allow the city more time to find a replacement. He has informed the city of his intent to completely retire, giving a final day of April 30.
