Sentences were handed down recently by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court.
Included in court action:

Dustin Lee Cope was sentenced to four years in prison and must make $2,500 restitution to Odom Nursery for grand theft and vandalism.

Melvin Eugene Ramsey was ordered to serve eight months of a five-year sentence and pay $250 plus costs for possession of a weapon during a drug offense and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Joseph N. Jackson was ordered to serve 364 days of a six-year sentence, pay $2,400 plus costs and forfeit his weapon for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Jonathan Z. Rowland was instructed to serve 270 days of a four-year sentence and will be jointly and severally responsible for making $23,000 restitution for theft over $10,000. His co-defendant, Shelby Renae Greco was placed on probation for three months and has asked for a judicial diversion hearing to be held Jan. 10.

Jacob James Damon was directed to serve 180 days of a four-year sentence for grand theft, burglary, and vandalism.

Roberto Cerda Martinez was ordered to serve 165 days of a two-year sentence and must perform 60 hours public service work and pay $3,000 plus costs for fifth-offense DUI, driving on a revoked license, and violation of the insurance law. He also had his driver license revoked for eight years.

Michael Andrew Williams was instructed to serve 48 hours of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $350 plus costs, perform 24 hours public service work and lose his driver license for DUI by permitting.
