Sentences were handed down recently by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court.Included in court action: Dustin Lee Cope was sentenced to four years in prison and must make $2,500 restitution to Odom Nursery for grand theft and vandalism. Melvin Eugene Ramsey was ordered to serve eight months of a five-year sentence and pay $250 plus costs for possession of a weapon during a drug offense and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.Joseph N. Jackson was ordered to serve 364 days of a six-year sentence, pay $2,400 plus costs and forfeit his weapon for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Jonathan Z. Rowland was instructed to serve 270 days of a four-year sentence and will be jointly and severally responsible for making $23,000 restitution for theft over $10,000.
