Main Street McMinnville kicks off a month-long celebration of downtown businesses with a Shop Small Bingo this Saturday, Nov. 28, Small Business Saturday. 

Participants who turn in a card with bingo before Dec. 23 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift basket of downtown goodies. 

Small Business Saturday is national shopping holiday and a chance to support your favorite small shops and pick out the perfect holiday gifts for friends and family. On Saturday, downtown’s participating businesses welcome you with something special to make your holiday shopping memorable: refreshments, holiday music, the perfect price on a must-have gift, and more.

Shop Small Bingo is a fun way to stay safe and still shop at our downtown shops throughout the holiday season. Local organizers are excited to stretch Small Business Saturday across the month of December and celebrate all the ways you can support our downtown businesses from afar.  

The Bingo Card was designed by American Express as part of its national effort to support Small Business Saturday. It includes tiles for the many different ways people can support a small shop, including ordering takeout, writing three glowing reviews, joining a local business email list, and of course, purchasing from a small business. 

It also includes tiles that reflect the impact of the current pandemic on our holiday season including video calling a loved one, and checking in with a neighbor. 

To support our downtown small businesses all holiday season long, participants can pick up a bingo card from the Little Lending Library on Court Square or download online at www.mainstreetmcminnville.org/2020-small-biz-saturday. While you enjoy the holiday season, fill in your bingo tiles. Once you’ve got bingo, return the card to the Little Lending Library, drop it off at Community Development in City Hall, or take a picture of both sides of the card and send them to mainstmcminn@blomand.net.
