Felony assault charges have been leveled against a Woodbury man for a drive-by shooting incident in which he reportedly opened fire on a man on Robert Smith Road.The suspect, Mark Stanley Cannon, 58, will face hearing on aggravated assault charges June 6.He was charged after deputies were summoned to the area where the incident occurred. When they arrived they talked to a woman who had been a passenger in the Cannon vehicle.“She said he (Cannon) became irate when he saw (the victim),” revealed sheriff’s investigator Jody Cavanaugh. “She stated he pulled out a handgun, rolled down the window and fired two shots at the victim and another man.”The woman said she got out of Cannon’s vehicle after witnessing the drive-by.
