With early voting about to begin, the race for McMinnville mayor is neck-and-neck as far as spending goes with both candidates stretching for the finish line.Incumbent Mayor Jimmy Haley led his opponent, Terry Mullican by the slimmest of margins when it came to spending for the upcoming municipal election. Specifically, Haley spent $29 more than his competitor, laying out $2,897 during the reporting period that ran July 1 through Sept. 30. Reports for the period were due in the county election office Tuesday.Spending in their respective campaigns was on normal election items.
