Dwight Lynn Bouldin announces his candidacy for the Warren County Commission, District 2.
Bouldin, an independent candidate, is a resident of Woodland Creek Drive. He is a Warren County native and a 1980 graduate of Warren County High School. He is employed as a shipping manager by Tennessee Warehouse and Distribution in Morrison where he works in the logistics department. He worked 24 years at Nissan in Smyrna.
Bouldin is no stranger to the County Commission as his father, Carl E. Bouldin, currently serves the 2nd District as county commissioner, a position he’s held since first being appointed to the commission in 1993 when then fellow 2nd District commissioner, the late Harold Laws, appointed him to the county legislative body to fill a vacant seat.
Dwight said, “Since my Dad decided to not run for his seat again, I felt it was a great time for me to step up and seek election to the position on the commission being vacated by my Dad. I understand that I’m running on my own merit but I promise the residents of the 2nd District that I will give each resident the same care and concern that my Dad has given the residents in our area over the past 30 years. Warren County is an outstanding place to call home and we all need to work in a cooperative effort on the County Commission to continue to be proactive and diligent in our plans to continue to move in the right direction.”
He continued, “There obviously is a huge responsibility of making every tax dollar count and making sure every dollar is spent to its fullest advantage and I will make every attempt to make sure every dollar the county spends is well accounted for as needed to move the county forward in the right direction. If we want to be attractive to industry and business, the county must always be looking for ways to improve and move forward. You have to look to the future and plan accordingly, of course all within designated budgets and expenditures that the county taxpayers can support.”
Dwight is married to Jamie Bouldin, a local rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He has five children and 10 grandchildren.
Dwight’s mother is Cleta Bouldin, a retired employee of the Warren County School System and his brother is Darryl Bouldin, a former local businessman and a resident of Murfreesboro where he is a realtor.
“The August general election will soon be here and I look forward to meeting as many residents of the 2nd District as possible to personally thank you for your vote, support and encouragement,” Dwight concluded.
