They need more money for animal care

Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center has exceeded its budget on veterinary services for the fiscal year due to the number of animals coming into the facility in need of treatment. Pictured is one of the hundreds of animals the facility has cared for over the last 10 months.
Caring for Warren County’s homeless pets has been costly this year. The county’s Financial Management Committee and its Budget and Finance Committee have unanimously approved the transfer of $3,000 within the budget of Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center. “We’ve had a bunch of sick animals that required treatment and one was hit by a car,” said Animal Control director Kim Pettrey.
