Haile West Adams emerged from a field of 46 contestants Monday night to be crowned 2017 Fairest of the Fair.

The 19-year-old is a sophomore at Motlow and is coming off a Top 10 finish in last year's pageant.

She is the daughter of Gina and Larry York, and Randy and Lisa Butcher.

The pageant was moved from the fairgrounds for the first time in fair history. It was held at the WCMS auditorium due to steady rain all night.
