A man who law enforcement officials believe is responsible for a series of thefts was arrested early Tuesday morning by the Warren County Sheriff's Department.
According to a warrant for the arrest of Jeffery Michael Hodges, 47, he was picked up Tuesday morning on counts of burglary, theft, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The arrest warrant states Hodges went to a vehicle on Viola Road and took a .380 pistol valued at $340 from a SUV.
"During the investigation, it was determined Jeff Hodges was at the residence and left running from the property in possession of the firearm after being confronted," the arrest warrant states. "Investigators were able to determine Hodges was responsible by cellphone information and by witnesses."
When investigators went to arrest Hodges at a home on Bluff Springs Road early Tuesday morning, he was reportedly in the presence of Tiffany Schott-Jones. She had been arrested about seven hours earlier on Monday and charged with assisting Hodges in his flight from the law.
"Schott-Jones has been formally interviewed and was aware of Hodges' status as a wanted fugitive," the arrest warrant states.
In an separate arrest warrant for Schott-Jones, it said she admitted to driving Hodges to the location on Viola Road where the vehicle was burglarized.
It is unknown as this time if Hodges will face additional charges for other thefts where he is believed to be responsible.
