LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Another blast of heat and humidity will put air conditioners to the test across Kentucky and Tennessee this week as forecasters on Monday predicted a withering round of heat index readings climbing into triple digits. National Weather Service meteorologist Brian Schoettmer in Louisville said the prolonged heat wave will settle into the region the rest of the week. The result will be the kind of heat that "wears on people after a while," he said.
