A local man died Sunday evening when he was struck by a vehicle in neighboring DeKalb County.The victim, David Lynn Judkins, 49, died at the scene of the 9 p.m. accident Sunday evening. According to preliminary reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Judkins was walking on Jefferson Road in DeKalb County at around 9 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Duncan Delille, 19, of Silver Point in DeKalb County. Delille told investigators he was driving east on Jefferson Road and saw Judkins walking east, with his back to him in the darkness, near the center line of the road.
