Jaycie Jenkins is about to become a Motlow College graduate. This wouldn’t be extremely noteworthy except for the fact she’s not yet a Warren County High School graduate.Because of a dual enrollment program that has allowed her to take classes at Motlow and WCHS simultaneously, Jenkins is scheduled to graduate with an associate’s degree from Motlow on May 4. That’s three weeks before she’s scheduled to graduate from WCHS on May 25.Jenkins says she’s been told by Motlow McMinnville director Melody Edmunds she will be the first local student to graduate from Motlow before graduating from high school.Despite the heavy workload, her grades haven’t suffered as Jenkins has maintained a 4.0 GPA in high school and is one of 11 WCHS co-valedictorians this year. She sheepishly admits she has made a C at Motlow, but says overall her grades are good.As for what would possess a teenager to complete high school and two years of college at the same time, Jenkins says she enjoys being tested.“I definitely love a challenge.
