Jaycees plan 70-mile poker run

The McMinnville Jaycees are planning a four-stop poker run next weekend to raise money for the organization’s annual Christmas party for underprivileged children.It’s a $10 entry fee for the event which is set for March 24. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at the VFW. Any and all vehicles are welcome to participate.“It’s a 70-mile trip and we’ll have an auction afterwards,” said Holly McBride, one of the organizers. “We hope to have a lot of people come out and have a good time.”The Poker Run will begin at the VFW and include stops at Crisp Springs Market, Timeout Sports Bar, and Prater’s BBQ, before ending at the Eagles Club in Rock Island.The auction will be at the Eagles Club in addition to live entertainment from Redstone.
