There is no word as to when work to demolish the Blue Building’s auditorium and gymnasium will begin. However, a city crew is removing items in preparation for demolition.“We were told to remove the auditorium seats and a few other things before demolition begins,” said McMinnville Public Works director Bill Brock, who was in the building Monday with several employees.Also removed for safekeeping were doors, tables, clothes racks and the curtain that hung over the stage in the auditorium. The curtain had the initials “MCS” for McMinnville City Schools.A ladder was used by employee Charles Slaughter to begin the process of removing the curtain.
