Interest high for 3 School Board seats
Incumbents appear to have crowded path to re-election

Incumbent School Board member Jeff Lee already has quite a bit of competition standing between him and re-election as a three-way race is heating up in his district.Three weeks remain until the close of School Board qualifying at noon April 3, finalizing the field for the August election which will see three members of the six-member board elected. The members serve in staggered four-year terms, with the other three seats up for election in two years.Lee’s challengers include James B. Bennett and Wallace Stevens. There are no other qualifying papers out for the 1st District.In the 3rd District, only one candidate has qualified to run and it isn’t the incumbent.
