A man who assaulted his girlfriend at a local hotel will serve a month behind bars.The defendant, Jonathan Kent Curtis, 32, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the reduced charge of domestic assault. He was ordered to serve 30 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and was warned to have not contact with his victim. He will also be required to attend the batterer’s intervention program.
