Warren County Highway Department is asking for an increase of $856,020 in its proposed 2012-13 fiscal year budget in comparison to the previous year. The budget was approved in the first stage of the process.Highway Department director Levie Glenn says projects make up a huge portion of the increase, but the county’s financial bottom line will not be affected.“The additional money will be taken from our fund balance,” he said. “It won’t cause a property tax increase.”Two bridge projects will be undertaken in the upcoming year, comprising $150,000 of the increase.
