A Shelbyville man who dragged a policeman alongside his car as he tried to flee arrest has been given a six-year sentence.The man, Charles T. Grizzle, 27, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and evading arrest by motor vehicle. He was ordered to serve six years in the state penitentiary. His sentence will be served in addition to time he owes Cannon County on unrelated criminal charges.Grizzle was pulled over at the intersection of Chancery and Locust streets because police could not read his tag because it was improperly displayed.
