A 16-person docket was heard by General Sessions Judge Bill Locke, including a case where a man allegedly confessed to having relations with an underage girl 29 years his junior.
The suspect, Michael Cass, 43, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound to the grand jury on the charge of aggravated statutory rape. He is charged with having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl. He reportedly confessed to having relations with the girl on several occasions.
In other court action:
• Jacob Damon was ordered to serve an 11-month, 29-day sentence for theft and violation of probation.
• Madonna Elam was indicted on the charge of attempted promotion of the manufacture of meth.
• Lindsey A. Barnes was given an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $75 plus costs, perform 12 hours public service work, and stay out of Walmart for theft.
• Samuel E. King was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must perform 20 hours public service work, make $11 restitution and stay out of Walmart for theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
• Su Whitmore was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence and must stay out of Walmart for shoplifting.
• Stacey L. Walker was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must undergo a drug and alcohol assessment, make $24 restitution, pay $150 plus costs and stay out of Walmart for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Timothy Fults was bound to the grand jury on charges of shoplifting, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Robert Dunn was given 30 days in jail and had his probation extended by a year for violation of probation.
• Richard Frazier must serve 60 days and had his probation extended by a half year for violation of probation.
• Koleby Myers must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
