Southern Standard crime and courts reporter Duane Sherrill has released his debut novel, “Red Dog Saloon,” a twisting murder mystery packed with suspense that throws you more curves than Nashville Highway.The full-length novel is available electronically on Kindle and Nook and the paperback version can be purchased from Amazon. It is published under his novelist name, R.D. Sherrill.“This first thing local folks should know is the book isn’t actually based on our Red Dog,” Sherrill revealed. “While I’ve heard tales from out there that could certainly fill a book, this is a work of fiction based around a old country tavern.
