The Warren County Election Commission decided Ben Foust will not be placed on the November ballot in his run for McMinnville alderman.Commission members voted unanimously on Wednesday to disqualify Foust from the election and remove his name from the ballot.“I will make a motion, according to the law, that his name not be on the ballot,” said Election Commission member Preston Huckebee. The motion was seconded by Hershel Bouldin and was passed unanimously by Huckebee, Bouldin, Bill Webb, Pat Davis and Bill Lee.The decision came after commission members were informed by election administrator Donna Smith that Foust did not meet the city’s legal requirement of being a resident for one year. “Personally, I would like to see everyone who wants to run for office be allowed to do so,” said Smith.
