A Nashville man looking for love in all the wrong places has been charged with felony burglary after he broke into the home of a woman he wanted to date. The suspect, Ryan Emmet Malone, 30, is charged with aggravated burglary and will face preliminary hearing in General Sessions court next month. He was arrested after police were called to the victim’s home on Oriole Drive.“The resident stated he had gained access to the apartment by entry through a back window by pulling the window screen out and popping open the window,” said McMinnville police officer Chris Hutchins, noting the suspect was still in the apartment when he arrived. “He had a strong odor of intoxicant on his person.”Officer Hutchins learned the victim had met Malone earlier in the night through a friend and that he had returned and broken into the apartment, which was full of women and children at the time.“He stated that he was looking for love and that he was in love with her,” Hutchins said of Malone’s statement about why he was at the apartment.
