Even as time for early voting approaches for the August General Election, eyes are being turned towards November and the race for city offices. There will be three aldermanic spots up for grabs this year including those presently held by Billy Woods, Rick Barnes and Ken Smith. Both Woods and Barnes have served on the board for more than one term while Smith is in his freshman term as he was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Jimmy Haley who was elected mayor while sitting on the aldermanic board two years ago.
