The cost of a new ladder truck for McMinnville Fire Department has some city officials feeling a little hosed by the price.Bids were received and a company named Pierce submitted the lowest bid at $849,448, while E-One submitted a bid for $897,263. The firetruck is similar to the city’s Tower One.McMinnville Fire Chief Kendall Mayfield recommended to Safety Committee members the city spend the additional $47,815 to purchase the truck from E-One.“As you can see, E-One is the higher of the two,” Mayfield said. “I would recommend the purchase of E-One.
