McMinnville city administrator David Rutherford fired longtime Fire Chief Kevin Lawrence on Wednesday morning. Lawrence reportedly was not given a reason for the firing. Rutherford has the support of the McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen for the move, according to Vice Mayor Everett Brock.
