A few Long Island ice teas will cost a man three months in jail after he took to the road and crashed his car after enjoying his favorite beverage – for the fourth time. The man, Harold W. Ferrell Jr., 49, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of fourth-offense DUI, reckless endangerment and violation of habitual traffic offender status. He was ordered to serve 90 days of a three-year sentence, perform 40 hours public service work, and pay $1,000 plus costs. His time comes after police arrived at the scene of a wreck on the off-ramp of Highway 55 and Nashville Highway only to find no one at the scene of the wreck. A search of the area, however, turned up the driver.“We found him walking down West Main Street,” recalled McMinnville police officer Brandon Vann.
