Farless caught trying to bring drugs to jail

A woman who tried to smuggle drugs into the jail when she surrendered herself to serve her jail time got 90 days added to her stay.The woman, Leslie Claire Farless, 54, entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of simple possession of drugs and was directed to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $750 plus costs.She was charged with introduction of drugs into a penal institution when she came to the jail to begin serving 60 days for shoplifting $28 worth of beauty products from Walmart.As she was being dressed to be put into the general jail population, a corrections officer noticed something concealed on her person.The small package, it was learned, contained tobacco and Seroquel. While tobacco is legal for persons over the age of 18, it is still considered contraband at the jail and is illegal to use there.
