“Don’t Be Cruel” and leave yourself “All Shook Up.”
Stop by the Southern Standard office this Friday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as the newspaper celebrates Elvis Day.
Free BBQ sandwiches and drinks will be available at the customer appreciation event, along with a chance to save 30 percent on a newspaper subscription. A one-year subscription will be available for $52.50 a year to new subscribers. That’s a mere 33 cents an issue.
An Elvis impersonator will also be in attendance and performing. This was a popular attraction at last year’s inaugural Elvis Day.
Visitors can also register for a $250 grand prize, an Elvis photo book, Elvis CD, and other prizes. With free lunch, discounted subscriptions, and an Elvis impersonator, it’s a day you don’t want to miss.
