A repeat drunk driver who was so drunk she thought George Washington was still president was sentenced to a half-year in jail and a loss of driving privileges for three years. The woman, Rebecca Wilder, 28, was directed by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to serve 180 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $1,100 plus costs and lose her driver license for three years on charges of third-offense DUI, second-offense driving on a revoked license, possession of meth and violation of probation.Wilder was arrested early this year after police were summoned to Pump N’ Pay East to check out a motorist who was unresponsive and slumped over the wheel inside her vehicle.Upon arrival, McMinnville police officer Leilani DeFore said she found Wilder in a disoriented state.“She was passed out in a front seat and the engine was running,” DeFore said in her warrant against Wilder, noting she soon realized the woman was very incoherent. “She made a statement that she was riding with a passenger and that George Washington was the current president.”DeFore sent Wilder to the hospital for her own safety since the suspect could barely stand or walk. It was at that point officers saw a pill bottle inside the car in plain sight.
