The auditorium connected to the Blue Building has been leveled. There’s a gaping hole in the main structure where the two had been connected.A crew has worked since Thursday to remove the auditorium.The contract with Tri-State Development includes “enveloping” the main structure to close the hole and prevent damage until city officials decide what to do with it.Officials voted to remove the auditorium and gym in early October. However, no decision has been made about the fate of the main structure.Tri-State asked for two extensions in October, meaning the work may not be complete by Christmas.“Work was supposed to begin in early October,” said McMinnville Public Works director Bill Brock.
