A serial robber has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a string of armed heists last year that came to an end when his picture was published on the front page of the Southern Standard.The robber, Harold Dawson Delong Jr., 53, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to three counts of robbery and three counts of aggravated assault. He was given 30 years in prison as part of the plea agreement.Delong robbed Perry’s Market and Northside Market on consecutive days last year. He committed the crimes at gunpoint.The robber disappeared for more than two weeks after the two heists, emerging from hibernation to rob One-Stop Market in Centertown 17 days later.It was during his One-Stop heist that he exposed his face to a surveillance camera.
