An argument between city officials over where to purchase new vehicles for McMinnville Police Department has Terry Kidd wondering why he was thrown into the middle of the squabble.“I understand making the choice they have to make as far as budget wise,” said Kidd, the owner of Kidd Ford. “I just feel some of the things that were said need clarification.”During last week’s city board meeting, officials decided to purchase five 2013 Chevy Impala police pursuit sedans from a dealership in Murfreesboro for $103,475. This was instead of five 2013 Ford police pursuit sedans from Kidd Ford for $112,980, making the difference $9,505.The decision ended with a heated exchange between Alderman Rick Barnes and Aldermen Billy Wood.
