Customers caught robbing store

Police arrested two men Monday night for a strong-arm robbery at On the Way Market on South Chancery Street.
Two customers have been charged with robbing On the Way Market on S. Chancery Street on Monday night.The suspects, Daniel Reyes, 19, and Adrian Smith, 21, are both charged with robbery and could face eight to 12 years in prison. Smith is being held under $250,000 bond and Reyes on $150,000. Smith has a higher bond because he was already facing unrelated felony assault charges at the time of the robbery.According to McMinnville Police Detective Sgt. Nichole Mosley, the incident happened around 9 p.m. when the two youths walked into the store wearing hoodies pulled over their heads.“One of them forced the clerk to the ground while the other tried to get into the store safe,” Mosley said, noting the clerk did resist and was able to get a good look at both of them.
