You could say Lana Whitlock and Jason Hillis waltzed away with the grand champion trophy Saturday night during the fifth annual Dancing With Our Stars.Despite little dance experience, the two performed an elegant waltz to capture the top prize at the event held at McMinnville Civic Center.“We only practiced for two weeks,” said Whitlock after their performance. “We didn’t know how it would come together.”The Brown Chapel Praise Team won the people’s choice award, which goes to the entry which raises the most money. The group held fundraisers before Saturday’s event to bolster its total.“If you have the guts to get up there, you’re doing good,” said Dancing With Our Stars organizer Elaine Lawson.
