The Warren County Commission rejected a resolution Monday night that would have designated the Warren County Planning Commission as the board of appeals for all building code violations – including violations of overgrown vegetation and too much debris.A major sticking point was a proposal to charge $150 for each appeal, then split some of that money among Planning Commission members.It was said during the meeting the $150 fee was to pay the cost of a newspaper public notice announcing an appeal hearing, with the remainder of the fee to be remitted to the hearing panel.Commissioner Wayne Copeland said, “I have a problem with $150. Where is that money going? I need guidelines on how it is to be divvied up.
