The brakes have been placed on the purchase of a new vehicle for the county’s EMS director. The wish list went headfirst into a pool of financial reality.During last month’s meeting of the county’s Safety Committee, consideration was given to purchasing a new vehicle for EMS director Brian Jennings. The funding would come from the department’s fund balance for fiscal year 2015-16 which, according to an estimate given to the committee by Jennings in August, would be approximately $340,000.
