Concerns raised over triathlon route

A breakfast crowd at Hardee’s could put a damper on the return of the triathlon, but will not prevent it. McMinnville officials are considering how to keep runners safe from motorists wanting a made-from-scratch biscuit.Event organizer Bobby Kirby has been working with McMinnville Police Department Chief Bryan Denton about the race route and street closures within the city. Denton says the route selected will take participants into downtown and the time selected by organizers will put runners at the restaurant around 9 a.m., a time when traffic is normally high.“I have talked to Bobby many times about this,” said Denton.
