Members of the Financial Management Committee were appointed Monday night at the monthly meeting of the Warren County Commission.Nine people were nominat-ed, including two not current-ly serving on the commission. Those two nominees failed to receive the seconds necessary to move them into voting.Those officially nominated were Terry Bell, Wayne Copeland, Randy England, Billy Earl Jones, Ron Lee, Tommy Savage, and Blaine Wilcher.Commissioners could vote yes, no, or pass. A pass was counted as a no vote. They were limited to four yes votes. Terry Bell received the most yes votes with a total of 23-1. He was followed by Wayne Copeland (22-2), Billy Earl Jones (20-4), and Tommy Savage (10-14). The four new appointees will join Herschel Wells (County Executive), Levie Glenn (Warren County Highway Department Superintendent), and Bobby Cox (Warren County Schools director) as members of the Financial Management Committee. Members serve for one-year terms to expire in September 2015.The County Executive, Highway Superintendent, and Director of Schools are standing members of the committee. The remaining four are elected by the County Commission. Nominations can include residents of the county who are willing and able to serve. However, to this point, only county commis-sioners have been selected.
