McMinnville officials will seek the advice of a professional before taking steps to hire a new city administrator.Board members voted 6-1 to meet with Don Collette, who manages a research firm for executive recruitment. Voting in favor were Mayor Jimmy Haley, Vice Mayor Ben Newman and Aldermen Ken Smith Jimmy Bonner, Rick Barnes and Billy Wood. Alderman Mike Neal voted against it.Smith suggested the meeting and says Collette will give officials the big picture of what to look for.“I suggest we invite Don Collette to speak to the board about the big picture in selecting an administrator for the city,” said Smith.
