City votes to give taxpayers relief

Taxpayers in the city of McMinnville may get a check in the mail if officials deliver on a property tax rebate that was brought up for discussion and accepted during Tuesday night’s meeting. Alderman Jimmy Bonner made a motion for the city take $500,000 out of its general fund and return it to taxpayers in a one-time-only property tax rebate. "That’s about 25 cents in property taxes," said Bonner.
