City votes to begin street paving in fall

McMinnville officials have accepted a resolution to begin paving city streets. The project cost is $1 million, with the number of streets to be paved yet to be determined.The board voted unanimously to pave with Mayor Norman Rone, Vice Mayor Everett Brock, and Aldermen Jimmy Haley, Billy Wood, Rick Barnes and Junior Medley voting for the measure. Alderman Clair Cochran was absent.Winning the project was APAC-Harrison, located in McMinnville, with a bid for $1 million.
